Home has always been important to Allen. After graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in International Affairs and History, he started his own retail business in Denver, CO. After selling his business, he moved to New York City for 7 years where he was involved in interior design and mid-century modern furniture. During the time he was in New York he attended Parsons School of Design for graduate studies in the History of Design and Decorative Art.
After teaching English as a Second Language in Bogota, Colombia, Allen has returned to the New River Valley where he loves to mountain bike and trail hike.
